Kevin Covert

Kevin Covert is the newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the United States in Moldova, having previously served as the Director for Eastern European Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. A seasoned diplomat, he has held various significant positions, including Director for Afghanistan Affairs and Deputy Chief of Mission in New Zealand. Covert, who speaks multiple languages including Russian and Ukrainian, is a graduate of Cornell University, Pembroke College at Oxford, and the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. His extensive experience and linguistic skills underscore his expertise in regional diplomacy.
