Kgafela Kgafela II

Kgafela Kgafela II is a traditional leader of the Bakgatla-ba-Kgafela tribe, who has been at the center of a contentious leadership dispute involving his uncles and rival factions within the royal family. After being stripped of his title in Botswana in 2011, he relocated to South Africa, where he has sought to restore his family's influence and customs. Recently, he has publicly opposed the appointment of Nyalala as Kgosi by the North West Premier, claiming it undermines the traditional leadership structure.
