Khadija Mint Cheikhna Mohamed Laghdaf

Khadija Mint Cheikhna Mohamed Laghdaf is the president of the Mauritanian Union for Popular Literature, an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Mauritania. Under her leadership, the union has been instrumental in initiatives that enhance the digital presence and documentation of national folklore, ensuring that the diverse linguistic and cultural components of Mauritanian society are represented. Recently, she oversaw a training session aimed at equipping union members with the skills needed to utilize and contribute to the Popular Literature Encyclopedia, a platform designed to compile and celebrate the nation's literary traditions.
