Khaled Islambouli

Khaled Islambouli was an Egyptian army officer and member of the Islamic Jihad who gained notoriety for assassinating President Anwar Sadat on October 6, 1981, during a military parade in Cairo. His motivations were rooted in political and ideological opposition to Sadat's peace treaty with Israel, which he viewed as a betrayal of Arab interests.
