Kiki Lima
Kiki Lima was a celebrated Cape Verdean painter and composer, known for his vibrant artwork that captured the essence of Cape Verdean culture and identity. Born in 1951, he produced over a thousand works and participated in more than 200 exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Lima was also acclaimed for his contributions to music, creating significant albums that reflected traditional Cape Verdean sounds. His legacy as an ambassador of Cape Verdean culture was recognized widely, culminating in his passing at the age of 72 while receiving medical treatment in Portugal.
