King Louis IX

King Louis IX, also known as Saint Louis, was the King of France from 1226 to 1270 and is best remembered for his piety and crusading efforts. He is historically significant for acquiring the Crown of Thorns, a revered Christian relic, which has been housed in Notre-Dame de Paris since the 13th century.
