Kiplimo is a professional long-distance runner from Uganda, renowned for his remarkable achievements in road racing and half marathons. On Sunday, he made headlines by setting a historic world record for the half marathon in Barcelona, completing the distance in an astonishing time of 56:42. This achievement marked the first time anyone has completed a half marathon in under 57 minutes, breaking the previous record held by Ethiopian runner Yomif Kejelcha, which was 57:30. Kiplimo's performance has solidified his status as one of the elite athletes in the sport.
