Kirk Letford

Kirk Letford, a 30-year-old man from St Catherine, was in the news after being accused of fraudulently collecting money from individuals seeking employment overseas. He faced charges of obtaining money by false pretenses after allegedly convincing three women to pay him a total of US$7,000 with the promise of securing jobs in the United States. However, after making restitution to the complainants and expressing remorse, Letford was acquitted of the charges by Senior Parish Court Judge Yvette Wentworth-Miller.
