Kiyoshi Ogawa is a former Japanese general who served as a commander of Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force’s Western Army before his retirement in 2017. He is currently a senior research fellow at the Security Strategy Research Institute of Japan. Recently, he has been in the news for discussing Japan's defense strategy, particularly the 'one-theater' defense concept which emphasizes Taiwan's strategic importance in the context of regional security challenges posed by China.
