Kleopatra Karađorđević
Kleopatra Karađorđević was a Serbian princess born in 1835, the daughter of Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević. She is noted for her unusual name and for being part of the Karađorđević dynasty. Despite the societal norms of her time, she received an education from a private tutor, reflecting her father's progressive views on women's education. Kleopatra's life was tragically cut short when she died from tuberculosis at the age of 19, shortly after her marriage to diplomat Milan Petronijević. Her legacy includes a song written for her by Prince Mihailo Obrenović, which has become a beloved piece of Serbian romantic music.
