Kong Zog
Kong Zog of Albania, born Ahmed Zogu in 1895, was the first and only king of Albania, reigning from 1928 until 1939. Zog's monarchy faced significant challenges, including economic difficulties and the threat of foreign invasion, particularly from Italy under Mussolini. His attempts to maintain independence and sovereignty for Albania ultimately failed when he fled the country as Italian forces invaded in 1939, leading to the end of his reign and the establishment of Italian control over Albania.
