
Konstantinos Myrianthopoulos
Konstantinos Myrianthopoulos was a Cypriot educator and revolutionary figure, known for his role in promoting Greek nationalism in the Aegean islands. Appointed as a supervisor of Greek schools in Ikaria in 1909, he was instrumental in organizing the local Greek population against Ottoman rule. His efforts led to his temporary removal by Ottoman authorities in 1911 due to accusations of propaganda, but he returned in 1912 to help incite a rebellion that culminated in the declaration of the Free State of Ikaria.
