
Kostadin Beli
Baron Kostadin Alexandrov, known as Kostadin Beli, was a notable Macedonian patriot and philanthropist born in the village of Blace in Aegean Macedonia. He moved with his family to Constantinople due to Albanian violence and later settled in Vienna, where he spent the remainder of his life. Awarded the title of baron by Emperor Joseph II for his charitable works, he dedicated his wealth to education and healthcare for Macedonians, establishing a library and bequeathing funds for clinics in Athens. His legacy includes the establishment of scholarships for Macedonian students, and he was a founding member of educational and archaeological societies in Greece.
