Kostas Kavvathas
Kostas Kavvathas was a prominent Greek publisher and journalist, best known for founding several influential magazines including '4 Tροχοί' (4 Wheels), 'Πτήση & Διάστημα' (Flight & Space), and 'Ηχος & Hi-Fi' (Sound & Hi-Fi). His career in print journalism began in 1959 with 'Ταχύτης' (Speed), focusing on car racing. In October 1970, he launched '4 Τροχοί' with his wife, Sofia, which became a staple in automotive publishing. Kavvathas also contributed articles to notable publications such as 'Επίκαιρα' and 'Το Βήμα'. Beyond his editorial work, he served as a municipal councilor in Athens during the early 1990s and hosted a car-related television show on MEGA. He passed away at the age of 86, leaving behind a legacy in the Greek media landscape.
