Koyan Chamika
Koyan Chamika was a distinguished Sri Lankan Navy officer who made history as the first Sri Lankan to successfully complete the United States Navy SEAL training program, earning the prestigious SEAL badge. He was a native of Gampaha and attended Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, where he was recognized as an exceptional student. After completing his education, Chamika joined the Sri Lanka Navy as a cadet officer and was serving in the Special Boats Squadron at the time of his untimely death while participating in a ceremony at the Welisara Naval Base.
