Krasnodar
The Krasnodar is a Russian diesel-electric submarine of the Project 636.3 Varshavyanka class, known for its stealth capabilities and designed for anti-submarine warfare, as well as protecting naval bases and maritime communications. It is equipped to launch Kalibr cruise missiles and is operated by the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy. The submarine was recently in the news after being intercepted by the Royal Navy as it attempted to transit the English Channel on its return from the eastern Mediterranean.
