Krency García

Krency García, known as El Prodigio, is a Dominican accordionist and musician who has significantly influenced the traditional merengue genre for over 25 years. He began playing the accordion at a young age and later moved to New York, where he experimented with fusing merengue típico with various music styles, including jazz and rock. Recently, he made headlines as the first Dominican merengue musician to perform live on NBC's Saturday Night Live, collaborating with the renowned rapper Cardi B. His innovative approach and dedication to the genre have inspired a new generation of musicians.
