Kristina E. Kramer

Kristina E. Kramer is a distinguished professor of linguistics and Slavic studies at the University of Toronto, Canada. With over three decades of academic focus on the Macedonian language, she has also made significant contributions to literary translation. Her translations include works by prominent authors such as Goce Smilevski and Lidija Dimkovska. Kramer has received accolades for her translation efforts, including the UK PEN Translates Award. Recently, she was awarded the international 'Dragi' award for her translation of Aco Shopov's poetry into English, which has helped elevate Macedonian literature on the global stage.
