Kumar Sangakkara is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and one of the most prolific batsmen in the history of One Day Internationals (ODIs). Renowned for his elegant batting style and exceptional wicketkeeping skills, he amassed a remarkable 14,234 runs in ODIs during his illustrious 15-year career. Sangakkara's achievements include scoring 25 centuries and 93 fifties in ODIs, making him second only to Sachin Tendulkar in terms of runs scored in this format. His leadership qualities were also evident as he captained the Sri Lankan national team and led them to the finals of the 2007 and 2011 ICC Cricket World Cups. After retiring from international cricket in 2015, Sangakkara has continued to contribute to the sport as a commentator and cricket administrator, earning respect for his insights and expertise.
