Kunsulu Zakarya

Kunsulu Zakarya is a prominent Kazakh scientist and academic, born in 1967 in the Ulytau region. She has made significant contributions to the field of biological sciences, earning a PhD and later a Doctorate in Biological Sciences. Zakarya is recognized for her leadership roles in various institutions, including her recent tenure as an advisor to the President of Kazakhstan on science and innovation, where she focused on advancing research and technological development. She played a crucial role in the creation of QazVac, Kazakhstan's COVID-19 vaccine. Zakarya has received several accolades, including the state prize named after Al-Farabi in 2021 and recognition as a distinguished inventor in Kazakhstan.
