Kuswanto, a 40-year-old resident of Sukolilo in Pati, Java, has become a symbol of community solidarity as he rallied support for local protests against the significant increase in land and building taxes imposed by Bupati Sudewo. He passionately contributed to the demonstrations by donating five bunches of 'pisang putri,' a local banana variety known for its unique sweet and sour flavor, to help feed fellow protesters, demonstrating his commitment to fighting for the rights of the marginalized.
