Kwabena Frimpong-Manso Opuni

Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Manso Opuni has recently been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in Ghana, effective July 14, 2025. Prior to this role, he served as the Board Chairman of the FDA, where he played a crucial role in overseeing the Authority’s regulatory functions. His appointment comes at a pivotal time when public attention to food and drug safety is increasing in Ghana, as the FDA intensifies its efforts against counterfeit medicines and substandard products.
