Kwang Wok-Lam

Kwang Wok-Lam is a prominent professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong's Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, known for his expertise in hematology and oncology. He is recognized for his contributions to the field of CAR-T cell therapy, particularly in treating multiple myeloma. Under his guidance, Queen Mary Hospital has become the only facility in Hong Kong offering CAR-T cell immunotherapy for multiple myeloma patients, marking a significant advancement in local cancer treatment. Recently in the news, he highlighted the successful treatment of a patient with advanced multiple myeloma using CAR-T cells manufactured in mainland China, showcasing a pioneering approach to cancer care in Hong Kong.
