Kyriakos Matsis
Kyriakos Matsis was a notable figure in the Cypriot liberation struggle against British colonialism. He was known for his courageous resistance and eloquent statements, including a famous reply to the British governor, which underscored the moral foundation of their fight for freedom. Matsis was killed by British forces in 1958.
