Kyrylo Ilyashenko

Kyrylo Ilyashenko is a courageous 13-year-old boy from Sumy, Ukraine, who gained national attention after heroically escaping a burning bus following a Russian missile strike on April 13, 2023. Despite suffering serious injuries from shrapnel that struck his head, Kyrylo managed to break a window and assist other passengers in evacuating the bus, saving lives during a tragic incident that resulted in multiple casualties. He is a student in the 8th grade at Sumy School No. 4 and is also a member of the local wrestling sports school 'Fakel'.
