Laia de Nadal

Laia de Nadal is the current rector of Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, Spain. She has played a significant role in overseeing various administrative decisions at the university, including the recent closure of investigations into the financial practices of faculty members, including former rector Jaume Casals and other professors. Despite recommendations from the Catalan Anti-Fraud Office to initiate disciplinary procedures, she concluded that the conditions for such actions were not met, leading to controversy regarding governance and accountability at the institution.
