Laila Souef

Laila Souef is an Egyptian activist and the mother of political prisoner Alaa Abd El-Fattah. She has been an outspoken advocate for her son's release and the rights of political prisoners in Egypt. Laila gained attention for her own hunger strike in solidarity with her son, highlighting the plight of thousands of political prisoners in Egypt and drawing international focus to the ongoing human rights abuses in the country.
