Lajos Arányi (1812–1887) was a Hungarian physician and archaeologist notable for his passionate efforts in the restoration of Corvin Castle in Hunedoara, Romania, after it was severely damaged by fires in the 19th century. Arányi's dedication to the preservation of the castle's historical significance led him to create restoration plans and mobilize donations, ultimately earning him the title of 'noble of Hunedoara' in 1875 for his contributions.
