Lakeram Mahindranauth, known as 'Vishan', is a 42-year-old sailor from Wakenaam, Essequibo River, who recently made headlines after being charged with possession of a small amount of cocaine. He pleaded guilty to possessing 0.81 grams of the substance and was subsequently fined $30,000, with the alternative of serving one month in prison for non-payment.
