Lakpa Cho Ghaley

Lakpa Cho Ghaley is a 60-year-old resident of Timure, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality, who has recently been in the news due to the devastating effects of a flood that struck her village. A former hotel owner before the 2015 earthquake, Ghaley witnessed significant loss during that disaster, and she expressed that the recent flood caused even greater fear among the villagers. Previously employed as a porter at the customs yard, the flood has left her and many others jobless, as the area has been severely affected.
