Lambis Nikolaou was a prominent figure in the Greek and international Olympic movement, serving as the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee for 14 years and playing a significant role in the organization of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Born on November 23, 1935, in Athens, he studied civil engineering in Munich and was instrumental in the construction of major public works, including the Olympic Stadium. Nikolaou was also a long-standing member of the International Olympic Committee, where he represented Greece with integrity and contributed to the Olympic values until his passing at the age of 89.
