Dr. Lamia Nawaf Fawaz is the Executive Director of Corporate Identity and Strategic Initiatives at Masdar, where she leads the Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy platform. Under her guidance, the platform has been instrumental in empowering women to take on leadership roles in sustainability initiatives globally since its inception in 2015. Dr. Fawaz advocates for gender equality in entrepreneurship and has emphasized the importance of bridging the financing gap for women-led climate initiatives. Her recent efforts include the release of a research study aimed at promoting a global sustainability economy and encouraging bold steps from policymakers and investors to enhance female entrepreneurship in environmental sectors.
