Lamin Fatty

Lamin Fatty is a survivor of a tragic boat capsizing off the coast of The Gambia on New Year's Eve, which resulted in the loss of at least 31 lives. Driven by desperation due to poverty and lack of opportunities, Fatty embarked on the perilous journey to Europe, where he hoped to find a better life. His ability to swim allowed him to survive the ordeal, while many of his friends and fellow passengers did not. His account sheds light on the extreme risks migrants take in their quest for a brighter future.
