Laos

Laos, officially known as the Lao People's Democratic Republic, is a landlocked country in Southeast Asia, bordered by Thailand, Vietnam, China, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Known for its mountainous terrain and rich cultural heritage, Laos is celebrated for its Buddhist monasteries and the scenic Mekong River. The country is recognized for its efforts in promoting regional cooperation through ASEAN, where it has been an active member since 1997.
