Laura Dumitrița Chițan

Laura Dumitrița Chițan is a Romanian legal advisor currently working at the Avocatul Poporului since 2017. She gained significant attention when she petitioned the Constitutional Court of Romania in 2019 to classify the wealth declarations of public officials and their relatives as confidential. This request was recently upheld by the Court, leading to substantial changes in the transparency of public officials' financial disclosures.
