Laurel Kivuyo

Laurel Kivuyo is a prominent young climate change advocate from Tanzania, recognized for her impactful work in environmental advocacy and youth empowerment. With a background in health and environmental sciences, she serves as the National Youth Environment Ambassador and chairs the Presidential Youth Platform on Climate Change, 'Green Samia'. Kivuyo founded Climate Hub Tanzania, focusing on green entrepreneurship and sustainable solutions, particularly for women and youth. Her efforts have garnered several awards, including recognition from the Vice President’s Office of Tanzania. She is an influential speaker at global climate conferences and is dedicated to amplifying women's voices in climate decision-making. Kivuyo's advocacy is deeply rooted in her experiences growing up in a Maasai community, where she witnessed the direct impacts of climate change on livelihoods.
