Laurențiu Pleșca

Laurențiu Pleșca is a researcher at the Romanian Center for Russian Studies and a program assistant at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. He is also a doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of Political Science at the University of Bucharest, with expertise in the geopolitics of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea region, as well as the internal and external politics of post-Soviet states. He has expressed concerns that a victory for George Simion could align Romania with other eurosceptic leaders in Europe, impacting the country's foreign policy and its support for Ukraine.
