Lavoo Mamledar was a former MLA of Goa who represented the Ponda constituency from 2012 to 2017. Born on September 20, 1956, in Ponda, he began his career as a sub-inspector of police in 1981, rising to the rank of deputy superintendent of police (traffic) before resigning to enter politics. He successfully contested the assembly elections on a Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party ticket but later experienced a fallout with the party. Tragically, Mamledar died following an assault by an autorickshaw driver during a road rage incident in Karnataka.
