Ledlauzis Varma is an icebreaker ship built in 1968, measuring 84.1 meters in length and 21.2 meters in width. It operates in the Rīgas jūras līcis (Gulf of Riga) and is managed by SIA 'LVR flote'. The ship recently resumed its icebreaking missions after a hiatus since the winter of 2018, and it is manned by a crew of 26 experienced sailors, demonstrating its ongoing importance in maintaining navigable waters during the winter months.
