LeeRay King, a 17-year-old from Wellington, New Zealand, experienced severe health issues due to his early and heavy use of electronic cigarettes. Starting at just 14, he developed a dependency that led to multiple instances of pneumothorax, or collapsed lung, ultimately requiring several surgeries, including a pleurectomy. His harrowing experience has motivated him to advocate against vaping, particularly among youth, as he aims to prevent others from suffering similar health consequences.
