Leida Curado Tolentino is a psychologist and cognitive neuroscience expert who took on the leadership of the Movement Disorders Project in Cape Verde after her father, André Corsino Tolentino, was diagnosed with a rare movement disorder. She has been instrumental in advocating for better healthcare access and has led significant epidemiological research on movement disorders in the country.
