Born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism, Velasco has spent 17 consecutive seasons working as a bat boy in Panama, showcasing resilience and determination throughout his career. His recent move to the Águilas marks his first formal role in foreign baseball, where he has quickly connected with the team and its fans. Outside of baseball, he works in human resources for the Panamanian government and values family, living with his father while cherishing the memory of his late mother.
