Leonardo Cárdenas Cervantes

Leonardo Cárdenas Cervantes, born in 1943 in Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, is a master wood craftsman who has dedicated nearly 70 years to the artisanal trade. He is a prominent figure in the local artisan community and participates in events aimed at preserving traditional crafts amidst challenges such as violence and competition from mass-produced goods. Having learned his craft from the esteemed artisan Domingo Galván, Cárdenas continues to inspire future generations while advocating for the survival of traditional craftsmanship in Mexico.
