Leonardo Mareço

Leonardo Mareço is the Chief of the Public Health Department at the Provincial Health Service in Zambézia, Mozambique. Recently, he reported on a cholera outbreak in the district of Mopeia, where two fatalities were recorded among 179 cases since mid-January. Mareço highlighted the contributing factors to the outbreak, such as poor sanitation and unsafe drinking water, and emphasized the need for public awareness and preventive measures to control the spread of the disease.
