Les Bokey

Professor Les Bokey is a highly regarded cancer specialist and a prominent figure in the medical community of Sydney. A refugee from Alexandria who arrived in Australia in the 1960s, Bokey has made significant contributions to surgery as the foundation professor of surgery and clinical dean at Western Sydney University, as well as the director of surgery at Liverpool Hospital. Recently retired, he continues to advocate for unity and shared values within the diverse community of Sydney's south-western region, highlighting its role as a cultural melting pot.
