Li Daohua
Li Daohua, born in 1932, is a survivor of the Nanjing Massacre, which occurred when he was just five years old. He witnessed horrific events during this dark chapter of history, including the brutal killings of his family members and other civilians. After the war, he became an advocate for remembering the past, emphasizing the importance of historical memory to prevent future tragedies. In 2013, he wrote a poignant letter to his daughter, urging her to remember the atrocities and to cherish the peace and progress achieved since then.
