
Li Zhenghua
Li Zhenghua, originally named Li Lianxiu, was born in 1905 in a wealthy family in Caohua Village, Tai'an, China. Known for his righteous spirit and commitment to justice, he founded a free school for underprivileged children and opened a traditional Chinese medicine shop in his village during the tumultuous 1930s. After the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937, he joined the Chinese Communist Party and actively organized resistance against Japanese invaders. He showcased exceptional leadership during numerous battles, ultimately sacrificing his life in 1941 while attempting to escape enemy encirclement. Li Zhenghua is commemorated as a national hero for his bravery and dedication to the anti-Japanese struggle, with his legacy celebrated in various educational and memorial initiatives.
