Licio Velloso

Licio Velloso is a prominent Brazilian medical professor and the coordinator of the Center for Research in Obesity and Comorbidities (OCRC) at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of weight regain after obesity treatment, particularly the role of inflammation in the hypothalamus and its impact on appetite regulation.
