Lilly Cassirer
Lilly Cassirer was a Jewish art collector whose family has been involved in a long-standing legal battle to reclaim a painting, Rue Saint-Honoré por la tarde. Efecto de lluvia (1897), by Camille Pissarro, which was stolen by the Nazis during World War II. The painting is currently held in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, and her heirs have sought its return for decades.
