Lindy Sowmick

Lindy Sowmick is the treasurer of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and identifies as an 'Indigenous queer woman.' She was in the news for opening the DNC's summer meeting with a land acknowledgment, addressing the historical injustices faced by Indigenous peoples in Minnesota and advocating for recognition of their cultural and spiritual history.
